Thank you for logging on and also for your time ...
You will be well aware of the controversy that now looms over Deepcut Camp, or as we better know it ... Blackdown and how four young recruits sadly lost their lives there whilst still training and in peace time. Sean Benton 20 yrs, Cheryl James 18 yrs, Geoff Gray 17 yrs and Jim Collinson 17 yrs.
The Army had a duty of care for them. They failed.
This campaign is run by former soldiers for former soldiers, with one thing in common, that being, we all passed through the gates of Blackdown/Deepcut between the times of these tragedies 1994-2002.
Many people from different angles have tried to piece together what happened. This is an appeal to all of you that were on the camp during this time, however insignificant you think your information is, please get in touch... IT WILL HELP TO BUILD A BIGGER PICTURE. We are appealing to their best mates, people who just knew them to say hello to and people who didn't know them at all but heard and felt the aftermath and the chaos on the camp in the day's after their unexpected and unexplained deaths.
We want the whole picture. Good or bad, this is not a vendetta against the British Army. All We want to do is be able to collect the information, your information, and use it in the form of statements to push for a much needed Public Inquiry. To get closer to the truth of what happened to these four young soldiers by tracking down events before and after their deaths. It is the very least we can do.
This campaign is to get the message out and about that it is time for the surmising and sensationalising to stop !! We are no longer looking at individuals, this is a team effort.
We were there and now it's time to listen to us.
To our mates, old and new. We look forward to hearing from you all.
